Nina & Richard Karg Leave a Lasting Legacy

Nina and Richard Karg

Nina and Richard Karg shared a love for animals although did not have pets of their own. They traveled the world together during the course of their marriage and went to the far reaches of the world. Because they were avid adventurers they felt it would be unfair to adopt a pet. However, whenever they were in the Seattle area, they enjoyed caring for the pets of neighbors and friends, treating the animals as if they were their own.

The Kargs truly wanted to make a difference in the lives of companion animals. They made annual gifts to the Seattle Humane Society for nearly a decade and chose to leave a lasting gift to the animals by naming the Seattle Humane Society as a beneficiary in their will. Thanks to a generous bequest from the estate of Nina and Richard Karg, the Seattle Humane Society will continue and expand the lifesaving programs that will benefit companion animals for years to come! Each year approximately 13% of Seattle Humane's operating budget comes from estate bequests like that of Nina and Richard Karg. We are so appreciative of their support both while they were alive and when they passed.
