Mary E. North
Mary E. North always had a canine companion, beginning with Tinny, an Irish Setter who went everywhere with her. Mary's devotion to animals crossed oceans when she and her husband Ray moved to Germany in the 1970s with their Saint Bernard, Gabe. When they returned to the United States, Gabe was right there beside them again.
Subsequent dogs included Bozo and Bingo, who were adopted from animal shelters. Bingo preceded Mary in death and was interred with Mary at her death. In her will, Mary made a lasting gift to help animals and chose the Seattle Humane Society as the sole beneficiary of her life insurance policy. Mary's generous estate gift helps us continue and expand life-saving programs for companion animals in her memory.
